Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026. Plain-language summary below; this is the full policy.

This is a plain-language policy, not legal advice. Please review with your own attorney before relying on it.

These Terms of Service cover your use of WP Goodbye and the service we provide. By starting a plan with us or using this website, you agree to them. We have written them in plain English on purpose, because most of the people we work with run a small business, not a tech company. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will explain it kindly.

Who we are

This service is provided by WP Goodbye LLC, based in Creston, Washington, USA. Throughout these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean WP Goodbye LLC. "You" means the person or business using our service. Our contact address for anything in these terms is [email protected].

What the service is

We rebuild your existing website as a fast, secure site, then keep it running for you on a monthly care plan. In short, we do two things: we move your site over once, and then we host it, watch it, back it up, and make your changes for as long as you stay with us. The care plan is the whole product. It is not really a website; it is peace of mind, so you never have to think about your website again.

The care plan is the only offer

We offer one path: a one-time setup fee to rebuild your site, followed by a monthly care plan. There is no one-time buyout and no "build it and hand it over" option. We keep your site fast and safe by looking after it continuously, and that only works as an ongoing plan. If you would rather not pay month to month, we offer annual billing (pay for ten months, get two free), which is the same service billed once a year.

What "unlimited content updates" means

Your care plan includes ongoing updates to your existing site. That means the everyday changes a small business needs: text edits, swapping photos, updating your hours or pricing, adding a new section, and similar tweaks. Just email us and we handle it.

To keep this fair for everyone, a few sensible boundaries apply:

  • Fair use. "Unlimited" means a normal, steady flow of update requests for a small business site, not an around-the-clock content operation.
  • One active request at a time. We work through your requests one after another. Send as many as you like; we complete them in order.
  • Net-new projects are quoted separately. Bigger pieces of work are not part of ongoing updates. These include full redesigns, adding an online store, booking systems, memberships, large multi-page builds, and other brand-new features. When you want something like that, we will scope it and give you a separate quote before starting. We will always tell you up front when a request crosses that line.

You own your site

Your website is always yours. While you are on a care plan, we host and maintain the working version of your site for you. If you ever decide to leave, we hand over your finished website files so you can take them with you. You are never held hostage. We keep your business by doing good work, not by locking you in.

Domains and DNS

Your domain is your web address (for example, yourbusiness.com). As a courtesy, we help point your domain to your new site when it goes live. We are happy to help you figure this out, but we are not responsible for domains, registrars, or DNS settings that are controlled by someone else, such as your old host, a previous agency, or whoever first set up your website. We can only complete the switch when you (or someone you trust) actually control the domain account. If you are not sure whether you do, we will help you check. See our Domain and DNS Policy for the full details.

Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for the content on your site: your text, images, logos, and anything else you ask us to publish. By asking us to use it, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not break any law or infringe anyone else's rights. We rely on the materials and information you give us, and we are not responsible for mistakes in content you provide or approve. Please keep your own copies of anything important to you.

Acceptable use

We only take on certain kinds of sites, and we only publish lawful content. Please review our Acceptable Sites Policy to see what fits. We may decline or stop working on a site that falls outside that policy, or that involves illegal, harmful, or abusive content.

Payments and refunds

Setup fees and monthly care-plan fees are billed as described when you sign up. For how refunds work, including full and partial refunds during the build, please see our Refund Policy. You can cancel your care plan at any time, and you keep your finished site.

Disclaimers

We work hard to build fast, reliable sites, and we take real care with every one. That said, we provide our service "as is." We cannot promise specific search rankings, traffic levels, or sales, because those depend on many things outside our control. We also cannot guarantee that any website will be online without interruption at all times, though we do our best to keep yours up.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, WP Goodbye LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost business) arising from your use of the service. Where we are found liable for anything, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the issue arose. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms will be handled in the State of Washington.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.

Trademark note

WP Goodbye is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WordPress, the WordPress Foundation, or Automattic. "WordPress" is a trademark of its respective owner, and we refer to it only to describe the kind of sites we help people move away from.
