Acceptable Sites Policy
Last updated: July 2026. Plain-language summary below; this is the full policy.
We are not the right fit for every website, and we would rather tell you that honestly than take your money for the wrong tool. This page explains which sites we take on and which we do not. The rule of thumb is simple: we are brilliant for sites people read, and we are not built for sites people transact on. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and is provided by WP Goodbye LLC, Creston, Washington, USA.
Sites we love to take on
If your website is mainly something people read and browse, you are exactly who we build for:
- Brochure and marketing sites that tell people about your business.
- Local businesses like dentists, lawyers, contractors, restaurants, churches, and clinics.
- Blogs and personal or professional writing sites.
- Portfolios showing off your work.
- Small nonprofits sharing their mission and information.
These sites are perfect for the fast, secure approach we use, and they are where we do our best work.
Sites we are not built for
Some websites are less about reading and more about doing complex transactions right on the page. Those need heavier machinery than we provide, so we do not take them on:
- Online stores with a shopping cart and checkout.
- Sites where visitors log in, or that have members-only areas or paywalls.
- Online courses and learning systems.
- Forums and community discussion boards.
- Booking systems that run on a live database of appointments.
- Marketplaces where many sellers list and sell.
Why we draw the line here
This is about honesty, not rejection. The very things that make our sites fast and safe (no logins, no databases, nothing complicated running behind the scenes) are the things a store or a membership site actually needs. Pretending otherwise would leave you with a site that does not do its job. We would rather point you in the right direction than sell you the wrong thing.
Not sure where you fall?
Plenty of sites sit near the edge, for example a mostly-brochure site with a small contact form or a simple newsletter signup. Those are usually a fine fit. If you are not sure, just email us at [email protected] and describe your site. We will give you an honest answer. You can also read what we migrate for a fuller picture with examples.
Sites we may decline or refer
We may decline a site that falls outside this policy, and where we can, we will point you toward a better-suited option. We also only work on sites with lawful content. We will not publish or maintain material that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights, and we may stop work on a site that turns out to include it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
Say goodbye to the site that keeps you up at night.
